Hello, I'm Heward.
When I was four, I used to make my parents stop the car whenever I saw a graphic sign that I liked. That passion for the visual arts continues to this day, where I now try to stop others in their tracks with my own work. I have had the privilege to work on countless brands, winning numerous awards and honors for creative excellence in my roles as creative director, art director, designer and photographer. My general approach is to make 2+2=5 in the simplest and most elegant way possible.
I started my career over 25 years ago, art directing print ads for Gallo Varietal Wines before I was of legal drinking age. Since then, I've created brand campaigns for a vast array of clients in almost every category. Along the way, I picked up the camera and have photographed celebrities such as Beyónce, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Bacon and others. My favorite subjects, however, are humble people from around the world. They don't own much, but always give the warmest smiles. I have shot several projects around the world for humanitarian organizations such as Roots of Peace and Asante Africa Foundation. My photographs have received awards and recognition from PDN, Planet Magazine, Rangefinder Magazine, APA, and Getty Images. I graduated from Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Advertising Design.
